SGM Ideas is delighted to celebrate some of the best ideas mankind has ever known. By virtue of man's ability to think and create ideas, we have provided a list of some of man's best ideas. Usually an awareness and knowledge of the source of an idea (that which is usually found in a person) is very useful for mankind. We must garnish a knowledge of where an idea first came about. Whether it is an intellectual concept, a creation of art, a scientific discovery, or an invention, we must be aware. Keep in mind, too, that these ideas had to be given creative expression. Life had to be breathed into these ideas in order for us to know about it. Its standards and impacts must be high in order to make our list. A public knowledge is usually established when an idea is beautiful or when it is valuable to society. These are a sign of virtue in the creator. That the idea was extraordinary and valuable to know is the very backbone of its character. Even if these ideas are unknown, the hope of this project is to raise awareness of great and valuable ideas in the past and make the ample application of past ideas to the way we live, think and create today.

SGM Ideas acknowledges the merit of celebrating the imagination and creative spirit of mankind, that station man shares with no other creature. It is a testimony of the achievements of yesterday, the potential of the world of today and tomorrow. The celebration of creativity shows the high nature of creativity as virtuous, edifying, intelligent, sober, and imaginative. Most often our view of the world and reality is made clearer by such interesting work.

In this vein of thinking, we will entertain the greatest ideas of history since the ideas of the future are not yet known. The ideas of the present day cannot yet be tested and valued as good until they have slipped into the past as established thoughts. Yet, too, some ideas in the mind have not yet manifest themselves in society. This is a task at hand for someone considering the past and that which is good, governed by the disciplines of history and philosophy.
